Joe’s AP MK1 Gt40 build

I'm wondering if there would be an issue with having to place the spacer under the pin adapter.
That im not sure. The rear puts you perfect its the front. I think you would need an additional 1/4 to 5/16 with the adapter. I dont remember exact but i think trigo plate is 7/16

Any chance you could measure the pad thickness of your wheels? ET is wondering it the could leave the pad thicker so that less spacer, if any, would be needed.

This is what they want:

Absolutely only not for a few days,we are away for holidays.I’ll check once we get back.

Hey Joe.

Did your spider fit over the dash without a lot of drama and trimming? May be that I have one of the first few stretches and the modded spider doesn't quite fit. I think I can see what I need to do, but before permanently cutting off the front edge of the dash I thought it may be worth an ask.

Dash needed alot of trimming.I had to cut off the whole front edge, sand the over all width to fit in between chassis smoothly and cut the sides to drop down About 3/8.

I also ended up shifting the steering column to the left 1/2 to be center in the molded section where it comes out dash

Thanks. I'll get nasty with it tomorrow. I was just looking for a little sanity check before whacked up a bunch of stuff I would have to patch back

Any chance you have looked at the pad thickness oh your wheels? Jin at ET Mags is driving me nuts tryinig to put this wheel order together!

Perfect! I'll get that info to ET and maybe be able to save someone a lot of time on the phone in the future. I'll let Chris know what I end up with for a final pad thickness/back spacing.

received some update pics from chris of the my headers that had to be remade due to the AFR heads. Should be shipping out soon

Front tubes all hooked up and insulated.did not like that throttle cable was near foot pulling from the front so i found a small linkage from speedway and came up with this contraption. Function's perfect and nice and smooth. Cable is now completely out the way.
