Longford Revival

There's an interesting motor sport event happening in my home town this weekend that remembers the time when we used to host a round of the World Formula 1 Championship in the late 50's early 60's. There are going to be a few rare cars going down the flying mile that I'm keen to have a look at. I'm taking my 40 and I think Tim is bringing his up. This is the first time it will be held and they are hoping that it will become an ongoing annual event.

Top bit of video there tim :thumbsup:! was great to see your car in action and to meet up with david and yourself. Was a fantastic weekend, we hope that they will keep it running on a yearly basis.

Yeah, it was great to finally meet David, Sean and families. There was another black car in the show area but I didn't meet the owner.

I'm really happy with the old girl. Not bad for a car not using launch control or traction control and using an old H pattern gearchange.

Radar was situated a few metres past the start of the Armco at about the 19 second mark in my clip.

The little island put on a great weekend with the Stuttgard Museum providing (7) rare and valuable cars to not only go on display but also go down the flying mile. Tim done an excellent job with his 40 on the mile as he really pushed the front runners and was a real crowd pleaser. There was also hundreds of marques represented in the Show and Shine section and it all made for a very good weekend had by all. It topped the day off when Craig Dean gladly drove his Ford GT out of the show tent and placed it amongst ours for a photo op.
