Looking for a GT40 near Wichita KS

Hi,
I'm considering a GT40 for my next project and was wondering if there are any near the Wichita Kansas area. I've never seen one in person and would kind of like to before I start.
Thanks,
Scott

Welcome to GT40S Scott !! You are going about things right, before you spend any of your hard earned money. I’m hoping someone somewhat local chimes in. There are builders all over the world on this forum. Please read the build threads also.
Please enjoy the forum.

Regards Brian

Welcome to GT40’s Scott!
What sort of car building background do you have?
Thanks for the welcome. My building background doesn't compare with the craftsmanship displayed on this site but I have been messing with cars (and planes) for the last 45 years. I just completed a pro-touring restomod of a 71 split bumper camaro and now it's time for another project. The GT40 and it's builder/enthusiast community are awesome.

I would like to see either a completed car or a project before I start. I've reached out to RCR and ERA and both have been very helpfull, just no cars or projects near Wichita Kansas. If there is anyone near Wichita (ex. Oklahoma City, Kansas City) that wouldn't mind showing me their car/project, I'd appreciate that - and bring beer.

Scott,
Reach out to the Mid-America Cobra Club in Kansas City. Karl Mawhirter is the president and can be reached via FaceBook. I don't think he is on this forum. Tom Manners is a member of the group, located in the KC area and has a GT40

If you want to drive 7hrs, I am located in the western suburbs of Saint Louis and building a RCR GT40 Mk1

Thanks Paul. I have reached out to Mid-America Cobra Club in Kansas City and will see what happens. Additionally, I appreciate your invitation. I occasionally drive to Fort Campbell (on the Kentucky-Tennessee border) and Google maps always gives me a route that goes through St. Louis so maybe next trip I'll reach out.

Thanks again.
Scott
