MDA Forum

Interesting, I didn't know there was an MDA forum. If MDA or owners really wanted their own section with subcategories we could have made it here for them - is there something wrong with our forum format or is the forum not friendly to MDA owners/builders/owners? I know there was that row with chassis stuff and a couple of builders some while back, but open posting is good for everyone and development of cars and the industry.

Ron,
There are only a couple of us who post on there with any regularity, if you want to call it that. Actually, the posts kind of show up in spurts with some idle time in between, that's most likely due to that fact that not too many MDA's out there yet. It all started about 6 months ago when things started getting ugly. I started getting information that got my blood pressure up a few times, only to find that nearly all the bad press was just that, at least in my own experiences. I actually believe that those on the MDA forum are still active on this as well. If I'm needing some insight on my build, I can get the help and info much quicker over there. It's nothing personal, it's just the benefit of being brand specific. Alastair and Daniel are the furthest along, and have been very helpful to me so far, and I'm just getting started. I think we all know there's some bad blood out there for whatever reasons, and it only takes a few bad apples who can't keep in line to create a new firestorm. Well, I'll still be active on both as my free time increases and the build progresses.

Hey guys,

The MDA forum is really just a resource facility for builders and owners to get together and get information in one place. It wasn't designed to compete with this type of forum that covers all GT40's but more as a specific point of reference. I know Ron would/could have created a seperate catagory for MDA but we thought we'd try to establish an environment where the MDA customer felt taken care of in all respects, including the use of a brand loyal resource centre like the forum.

With that said, anyone can register and have a look if they wish, as there is no 'us' and 'them' attitude that sometimes happens when a specific group of people click together, as Jim D mentioned, MDA owners surf here often and I suspect will continue to do so.
