I've got an MDA GT40 due to ship to the states in the next few weeks. I can't speak for the quality as of yet, but from viewing the websites, the RF, GT40NZ, Tornado, and MDA all appear to be very similar. They're all tube frame construction, and I can hardly see that there could much too much of a difference. From my experience, the NZ car became much too expensive, I seriously considered the Tornado, however, no left hand with central shifter (if would have been left hand drive and left side shift), the RF was next, I had my checkbook in hand ready to write, but the Rep in Arizona dropped the ball and effectively left a sour taste in my mouth (RF now has a new rep so this issue would no longer apply) finally, I hooked up with Mark Sibley. I can only say that the corrospondence has been nothing but first rate. I am absolutely pleased with Mark and MDA thus far. This is not a sales pitch, as I know there are many people just as willing to speak as highly about Robert Logan at RF, and Andy Sheldon at Tornado. I actually hold them all in high regard through my personal contacts with them. It just came to be that MDA fit my mold and I'm hoping the build goes as well as the initial contact with them. So much so that I intend to sell the Mk I that I'm preparing to build and order another once sold to build my ultimate, a Mk II with an FE motor. If anyone is interested to see my MDA when it arrives, please feel free to contact me to make the trip to Ohio. After all, I really love talking cars. I may even be convinced to take some of you on a nice drive through the southeastern hills of Ohio in my Cobra. Take care all.
