Monterey Week BBQ

It seems that a number of you will be heading to Monterey for the Historic Races, August 16-18. As the standard driving route south will take you down Skyline/Highway 35, and it goes right by our home, we would love to put on a BBQ.

Alan posted this great photo of 35/Skyline Blvd.

"And for those who don't know, "right by us" means down legendary CA Hwy 35".

We would like to invite one and all to join us. I have heard that Jack/Richard, Alan and Rich E will be around..............anyone else? Mesa, Howard.....................

Now we just need to find a day/time that will work for the most people. I'm thinking Thurs/Friday, but we are flexable!

Let us know your estimated timing and we will figure a time that will work.

Guys

It sounds like Jack Houpe and Richard from Idaho are comming furthest distance. So Jack when do you estimate you will be passing through the southern Bay Area?

I'm fairly flexible - I don't know what days I'll be at Historic events that week, BUT Thursday night is the Baja Cantina gathering and I would guess most of the guys would want to do that.

Agreed. My wife and I are flexible as well.

Enough with all the flexibilty talk already. The image of you guys and your wives, bending all over the place is enough to put a chap off his breakfast!

It's worse than you think - he really wants to show them his 'winding drive' AKA the Bourneville Boulevard AKA Skyline Drift Rice Raceway AND what's more, his posh neighbour's cess pit!

Gonna be a fun weekend for sure..

Seriously, sounds great. Might grab the Cessna and hop over if only to see 'folks' following through.. :)

You up for the right hand seat Mark? Got the hours? How hard can it be? Go Norf till Greenland, hanger left, cruise down over BC and Bingo!

(Edit: sorry, of course that should read PASSING through. Idiot)

OK Guys,

It appears that Friday evening around 5:30+ is the best time for the BBQ get together.

I know Alan Watkins and his wife are going to bring a friend who has a MKII, I'm looking forward to meeting him.

I think Mesa and Howard will be here and hopefully RichE and his wife can come as well.

Additionally, Jack and Richard will be in the area, it would be great if they can make it!

So, anyone else who will be around the South Bay on Friday Aug 16th, we would love to see you.
