Movie with GT40 in a scene being filmed in Australia

Hi
I just got back from an early morning film shoot in Brisbane where they are filming has just begun on a movie. Ill post some photos I took when I get them developed - but the movie includes a chase sequence around the city with a Cobra chasing a GT40 . With up to 7 cameras mounted on the cars as far as I could see. I think the movies called "The Middle Man' but will find out more and keep all informed.

Thanks for the heads up Duane. It
sounds like a movie I wanna see.

Oh man oh man!!
I guess I'm too late...

Photos should be damn good though, good on you Duane for spotting that.
Cheers,
Adrian

Duane, that last shot with a bit of sky under all wheels is spectacular. I guess that the nearest I'll get to testing suspension travel is when I jack the car up !!

I was a bit worried about the fact that there appeared to be no driver - then I noticed that the wiper was on the wrong side of the car !!

Kind Regards,

Peter D.

Duane,

Great photos, but that's a given, considering your profession!
That wouldn't be your 40, would it?
If not, it could be your car's twin!
Keep those photos and videos coming!

Hi
Yes it is my car - I have it registered with a site that specialises in supplying cars for the Australian film industry . Last year it was almost in the 'Scooby Do' movie but missed out to another low car (I think they ended up using a lambo)
Im looking forward to seeing the finished video as they had cameras in my car as well as lipstick cameras low down on the cobra. They mounted the microphone between the pipes at the rear, and it sounded good going through the gears.
The airbourne shot is actually scanned the wrong way round (whoops) and I was surprised how easy it was to get it airbourne ( they didnt actually drive that fast over the hill - it is just a very steep incline)
Ill see if I can get a couple of preview mpegs for you all - as the director is the husband of my office manager. Its only a short film but guaranteed to thrill as they are really going to get the sounds and speed right (as in the Bullitt movie) They want me to sit in on the editing so as to make sure it sounds and looks right , so that will be fun. They are also doing a series of short movies with other cars later in the year, and will try to get a few more fortys in them also.
Anyway will keep you all posted on whats happening.
