muffler hold down

I recently saw a post on the fabrication of a bracket to hold down the mufflers and now I can't find it. Can anyone help me find it. Thanks

Randy, What are those clamps designed for? Specifically, the ones with the tabs on them that allow the bolts to go through the tabs. Did you weld those onto the clamps, or where they manufactured as such?

Hi Terry,

Those are Clamp-Collars made by DynaTech;
Dynatech Accessories - Clamp Collar Kit

The tab comes welded to the clamp and you get an additional tab. These are made for retaining two slip fit pipes or muffler to pipe, etc..
They are very strong.

If you go by your local muffler shop they have something similar if not the exact thing. When I was having them weld up some water pipes for the central tunnel, I found them just laying around. I got 6 of them for free.

All you need is to polish them up and they are as good as new.

Thanks , exactly what I was looking for.I appreciate the help. I have decided to build my own header system. I am sure it will be an interesting experience.

There are many sources for these Stainless steel Tee-Bolt clamps. They are also available with "feet" to bolt down the ring. I keep a supply of several sizes on hand
for various tasks. Cheap on evilbay too.
