my 917 gulf

I did this heller kits 2 years ago, starting from the terrible heller kit.
Today I really will have some better information (Fran RCR website is a masterpiece in this).
I personally love dirty race cars, with all the dust and weathering effects on.
Was a model I did for my personal pleasure..in a period where here was nearly impossible to have nicer and more precise fujimi kits:D

Hope u like this (maybe also Graham and Fran:))

Paolo,

Fantastic. You have really captured the weathering that a race car achieves after a long race. They also get very battered under the wheel arches as well.

Well done.

Boy, these sure are a far cry from the Revell kits I use to build when I was a teenager.

As todh says, Rock on, Paulo!! You are definitely a master in this endeavor. I can hardly wait for you to realize your dream and be able to build a 1:1 "model". If your attention to detail in that pursuit is as dynamic as it is in your models, your build will be awesome!

Thanks Thanks a lot guys.
For me is so important u like my works:), cause think this is one of the few places where people really loves some type of cars as I do.

My skill in this is always improving, just unfortunately the main part of my works todays are done under request and so i can save very few.

And in car modelling..seems a so strange thing to apply weather effects (I think those are a must on an endurance car....having seens many real ones,I saw theme clean only during pauses of before the start).
Sure, before doing this u have to be corageous..cause the car is nearly perfect before weathering:) and sometimes the risk to damage that is really high.I Try study pictures and documentation...for example my gt40 1075 in progress is famous to have some terrific dirty pics:) and I still dunno If I will do this first model as "dusty" one.
Surely the second will be...probably a nice red mk.2:D

Thanks again a lot guys:)

Paolo,

Nice work!
Reminds me of the old days when I bugged my mother for kits in the 70's as a teenager

Revell: Nice detail. a challenge.
JoHan: Very nice. Good detailed instructions.
MPC: Easy to build. Always had 3 choices of car version (stock, drag, custom, etc)
Monogram: Fun, but a "snap" to build.
Tamiya: When I grow up!

I learned alot about car parts doing these kits...
I never have had the patience to go to the level that you have Paolo.
thanks for sharing.
