New Cleveland castings

Probably not a whole lot of folks using Cleveland engines, but for those that are, there are many more components and parts available these days. 7 years ago when I did my engine, aluminum heads were not available. Now they are from several manufacturers. AFD, CHI, and Edelbrock all make them now. 2V, 3V, and 4V flavors. In most (not all) cases, standard 2V and 4V intake and exhaust systems fit the new heads.

For the last year or so, there has been talk of a new Cleveland block. Designed by Tod Buttermore, it sounds like the project is moving from the design stages to the casting phase. Casting will be done in both CI and aluminum. Here's the specs as listed on the network54 351C forum.

OMG--that is one incredible part, and given the price of alloy 8.2" SBF blocks the Cleveland seems to be a real bargain at it's estimated price.

Should be tough to beat!

Combine that with the new Weber manifold offering that was posted and what a look for the back of a GT40!!
