Interesting, but
"Easy to program the level of any tank and electronic gauge - does not work with OE style gauges that utilize an ohm only input."

Someone will have to try it with Smiths.

I contacted tech support and the device is compatible with E85, but, as you might expect, it isn’t compatible with foam in a fuel cell.

You could cut a hole out of the foam and, if necessary for support, line it with a porous cylinder.
