New York Weather?

Hi all,

Just packing for short visit and wondering just how cold it is there. Our TV channels show massive snow drifts etc etc doom and gloom.

Checking the websites and New York web cams, it all seems nice and sunny - no snow, so what's the deal? Trainers or snowboots?

Paul, long island got about6" to 8" of snow, some has melted and the roads are starting to dry. You might get lucky,
