Let's see... we would have put in a 6 way traffic light phase, 4 pedestrian crossings at least 2 "traffic calming" islands and a bucket full of red light and Truvelo cameras.

Oh, there would have also been at least 100 warning signs and more zig zags and yellow boxes than you could shake a stick at....:mad:
 
I saw the same thing first hand in China. They had cattle and bicycles mixed in as well. It was amazing to watch, but scary as hell to be in. It seems to be all courtesy based and flows almost without issue. Our driver would also use the oncoming lane at 80 mph when no one was coming straight at us. Never work here.

That third world city of 15-20 million people, (and it seems twice as many cars :)) moves traffic better than most cities 1/4 their size in the US.
 
ahahaha Pete, EXACTLY that way.
I saw incredible action done usually by scooters..they really dare the impossbile.
My shop is in front to a big square and in rush hours I looked too often at how people comes crazy:D

....another reason to move to Australia or NZ:D(the first is V8 champ..ahah)
