Were the original bodies made of aluminum, steel or fiberglass?

roof section was steel and the rest was fiberglass

MK-IV center section was Alum. Nose tail/fiberglass.

Thanks guys. I knew I could get the straight scoop here.

The reason I asked is, someone at a local car show was adamant that they were made from aluminum.

AM GT 40/1 and AM GT40/2 were built with all aluminum nose, radiator body insert, cab/greenhouse and roof included, doors and entire tail section. There were no sill covers placed on these two racecars. My GT still has all of the original aluminum from when it was built new at Alan Mann racing in 1966.
