John, I would love to bring it to TCC at the end of March however the painter will need to have it ready for me in a month or it will be next year. I'm still excited about the car and look forward to sharing it with everyone when completed.
I will stop by the body shop today to check up on the progress and maybe get a feel for completion date.

I see some of the posts were lost so if I repeat something sorry. Work continues on the the body work. We are started on the rear clam shell finally. The gaps are looking good and after my come to Jesus meeting with the shop foreman we have a completion date of end of March. If that happens you know I'll be a happy camper and share lots of pictures.

The month of February was busy with the addition of a 4 post lift in the garage and all the garage door modifications to take advantage of my 10' ceilings. I'll try and take a picture of the completed project.

Hope to have some new pictures in a month.

Sounds good Tim maybe I'll get a professional photographer to take some pictures of a Mk IV and Mk II setting side by side.

This was the state of the car yesterday when I stopped by. Inside of doors were being painted black in the booth yesterday afternoon. Headlight area, area around windshield on the spider and rear glass areas still need to be painted black. All the small metal parts are also being painted car color today. They still have a lot of painting to do but promised end of month I can pick it up. Could it be true?

By the way I had a revelation yesterday realizing the center stripe is different on the Holman Moody and Shelby prepared cars. Maybe everyone noticed the difference but as we focus on the paint details it’s making me look very close to get the details correct.

This is J7, center wide stripe with two thin stripes on each side.

J5, two wide stripes with black outline. It seems all the Shelby prepared cars used this kind of stripes.
