If you are still having issues after the last of the polishing compound is added to the oil, I have a trick to keep the car going at a high RPM until she smooth's out. Pull the hose off the spray end of your windshield washer and feed it directly into your carbs. Fill the resevoir with naptha and you have an instant power booster easily controlled from inside your car!

Reading that initial post made my sphincter pucker and my manhood retreat into my body forming some sort of reverse igloo. Then, hearing about the sand in the oil, oh God, I think I threw up in my mouth a little...
We did have a guy who brought his car up to Motion Dynamics when I worked there and had driven through a rather large puddle and his new Novi 2000 supercharger pretty much sucked the entire contents of said puddle into his 1999 Cobra's engine and then promptly shot a piston out one side of the block and another rod broke and shot pieces out of the other side. Needless to say, it was pretty awesome to see grenadation of that caliber.
