Ravish minxs / stairway to heaven

Hi,

my thirteen year old had her first official performance together with her band. She founded the "RAVISH MINXS" 6 months ago. The girls are 13 to 15 years old.

They perform some Green Day and American Reject songs, but also one Led Zeppelin. Guess which one. See them performing "Stairway to heaven" as of 1:50

The audience was pretty impressed.

My daughter plays the lead guitar and sings

Very Cool !
I remember my first gig at the same age.
That was back in 1961, Damn I'm getting old !
Played at the local Jr High school.
One gig and I was Hooked !
It's really Great to see that you support your daughter in her music.
To bad your on the other side of the pond,
I still have a room set up for recording.
We could cut them a CD of their own.

What did you play in 1961 ( the cool rock songs where not yet born) ;-))

Just kidding, I love to hear her playing the guitar and support her in every possible way. Currently we are designing a logo and web page for them.

Next songs are to be learned are: probably "Touch to much " from a famous Ausi band and i i would love them to do "like the way i do" from Melissa Etheridge, all of them love that song, just my daughter not !:-((

That's cool,
The logo, and web page, anything like that you can help them with.
No mater when, all the promo, and hype they can get will help a lot.
You can suggest a song now and again, but don't push to much on that.
She'll know what turns her crank, and what inspires her to want to play.
Maybe see if she wants to try and write a song or two ?
A good beat, a catchy guitar lick, a good hook line !
Sometimes the simplest song can be the Biggest hit !
Hey, ya never know, less ya try !
These days you can get an inexpensive recording set up for her to work things out on.
We used to have a little cheap recorder that we would record all our rehearsals with.
Then we would play it back, and see what was what, with what we were doing.
It sure let us know what we needed to work on.
Now I have my spare bed room set up as a control room,
and close to 200 ft. snake so I can record any where in or outside the house that I want.
But generally just sit in there and work on tunes by my self.
