Is that glassed in when delivered,, or you have to do it on your own? I ordered my kit about 2 1/2 months ago, I'm wondering now if its too late for that option if the body was already molded.

You have to install it yourself- it's not part of the body molding process. This is better since there are several ways to install one. Jack's method is nice since it allows a new one to be bolted back in if damaged, instead of having to repaint the entire front if it is molded in. But the installation method is up to you.

Henry, it's an easy DIY. You can use sections from the fender vent cutout to make the "shelf", or, as I did fabricate a bonded and 'glassed aluminum shelf. There is a vast selection of expanded mesh to choose from. I happened into a 2"x4" sheet that is used on Corvettes (black anodized aluminum) from an aftermarket fiberglass supplier. I also laminated a heavy CF/epoxy on the underside of the louvers in case the fat lady sits on them. You could jump on mine without breaking now.

Finally stopped at fran's shop after driving by it for years and he was very professional in giving me a tour. Can't tell you how impressed i am with his operation, workmanship and capability. Their machine work turns out parts that looks like fine jewelry! Stop by if you're ever in the michigan area to get a tour. You won't be sorry! Keep up the great work fran!

I am undecided if I will install the fender vents. I have a set and if anyone wants a small price break, I'll let them go. Then I won't have beat myself up over using them or not. I think they are essential if tracking the car.

I think the louvers add that supercar touch for the track or street. Its like frosting on the cake man. :2thumbsup:
