Hi all,
Hooo, boy, is my face red!
In various E-Mails I've mentioned my engineering draughtsman friend Ken McLeod who worked for JW Automotive in the early 1970s on the Mirages and 917s. After sending the E-Mails I would give Ken copies.
Another project was Frank Williams' first ever Formula One car and GT40 designer, Len Bailey, was asked to design the car. As Len and Ken enjoyed a close working relationship Ken was asked to do the drawings.
In the subsequent posting 'Sorry Meat, Hi Meat' I wax lyrical about the importance of correct name spellings as emphasised by my Dale Carnegie instructor a long time ago. By an amazing coincidence I use the Scottish names MacDonald and McDonald as examples.
Ken is working on the new .....er......um..... project in the soon to be completed 26 000 square foot factory which is about 50 yards from mine in the same complex.
Yesterday I popped in to check on progress and Ken said, " I saw your posting about correct name spelling........by the way I spell my name MacLeod and not McLeod!'
Talk about breaking your own rules!
I've a new title - Red Face Andre 40!
