Can anyone advise how I work out what length of shock absober to order for the front suspension on my KVA.
The wishbones are modified, so 'standard' measurements ( if there were such things for KVA's ! ) probably won't be right.
Measurements between the top mounting bracket on the chassis, and the bottom mounting on the wishbone are:
at 3" bump - 10"
at 2" bump - 10.5"
at 1" bump - 11"
AT REST i.e. AT NORMAL RIDE HEIGHT - 11.5 "
at 1" droop - 12.5"
at 2" droop - 13"
at 3" droop - 13.5"
The easy measurment is the 'AT REST ' one, but the shock companies want to know the 'fully open and 'fully closed' lengths and my problem is that I'm not sure what the normal range of bump at droop is.
Also, what effect does the bump stop have on the measurements?
Thanks in anticipation.
