Called in to see Mick Sollis at Southern GT yesterday with Martin Gough to pick up some bits and pieces. Two more cars are well on the way to completion and lots of new bits now being available such as exhaust systems, filler caps and sumps to original pattern. He also has a stack of cars lined up to have Southern GT back ends grafted on as well as more full cars to build. He also now has a range of parts to upgrade GTD and KVA cars.
However even more interesting was his own personal Southern GT which is now fully painted finished, SVA test passed and on the road. The car is stunning and the standard of construction is superb. With a 420hp motor on webers it has the bark to match the looks. As a result somebody is going to get lucky as he is now selling his immaculate red GTD. It must have been his birthday or something as he has now also bought a fantastic Ford RS200 with only 500mls on the clock. It's a good job he works so hard or I would get jealous!
