A difficult decision this one, but following a few a few health issues, I'm looking at parting ways with my GT40 in order for someone else to enjoy it
My Southern GT40 tribute build is chassis no.66, one of the last chassis built by Mick at Southern GT in their workshop before he retired. I based mine around the Alan Mann Racing livery, started the build in 2021 and was correctly registered in September 2025 (Southern GT on the V5). I currently have a private plate GT66 JCB on the car which will go with the sale. (Chassis 66, Plate 66, number on car 66)
It's powered by a 1965 Ford 302 V8 producing 330bhp, rebuilt as new by hilltop Engineering complete with 4-barrel Holly Street Fighter Carb. It has a Renault transaxle with Quaife ATB differential, Quaife Close Ratio Gearing with high ratio 5th gear.
All round adjustable suspension with AP Racing 4-pot callipers on grooved, vented discs and Brembo handbrake, sat on period pin-drive hubs, image wheels and galaxy radial GT tyres.
Cockpit has been carpeted and fitted with heat and noise reduction panels, aircon (although currently not filled), with original smiths gagues, push button switches, removable steering wheel, leather bucket seats with 4 point harnesses.
Fibreglass body by Lee Dawson, arguably the best replica you can get!
Additional work was carried out by AK Sportcars to help get the rolling chassis complete, installation of engine, gearbox and wiring etc
I've covered just over 400 miles in it so far, ironing some minor first car on the road issues, turns lots of heads and have had some very complimentary comments.
I'm looking for £80,000 ovno (serious enquires only, no PX etc)
