It is a good car. The full alloy polished engine is pretty nice.
As for the price, 72k is the seller's price. Whoever bought it paid about 86k Euros, that is ~120k.
From ordering the car to driving it took me a year and a half and about 135k, so yeah getting it all built and ready is a pretty good deal.
An Mk2 was sold 2 years ago buy the same house, with a French registration, for 100k Euros.
My car as it was, with an FL plate as a 1966 SPF, seemed impossible to register in France. There are some ways, I have heard, to export an SPF from the US, but as a Ford, and then a French registration is possible. But I think that getting the title to read "Ford" must be borderline illegal. That's why I guess I was told it costs 10 or 15k.
