John Donnelly, who build the Sabre GT40s that several of us have and OEMed the American GT which was marketed by another company, had just completed a GT40 roadster that he called the GT3 when he disappeared. I have no idea what happened to John or the molds he had created for the GT3. (I should say that I don't KNOW what became of him; I have an idea that he returned to England. But, none of our British brethren have been able or willing to verify this.) I had the opportunity to closely inspect his prototype and can say that he had incorporated many improvements over his Mk I chassis and bodies. To my knowledge, it was to be a true open top roadster and he had not developed any kind of top(s) for it, removable or otherwise.
