Throttle cable return.

I've fitted throttle cable return springs both on the carb & at the pedal. Although this works well, I'm not convinced I have the best setup. I've got a few ideas (double progressive springs at both ends of the cable) but I would like to know what others have done to obtain that 'slam return'.

Paul,

Try running some graphite "lock fluid" into the the cable sheath. It a is fine, graphite powder in an ultra light suspension oil. It does not gum up over time, as many lubricants do. It made a huge difference in my throttle cable.

How many bends do you have in the cable? Too many and the cable will bind (as I've learned /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif ). Teflon lined throttle cables are happier with multiple bends.
