Throttle Cable Routing RCR GT40

Looking for throttle cable routing suggestions/tips going from the pedal box inside, by the drivers seat into the engine compartment. I have non-adjustable pedals and a Lokar cable...

Wondering if anyone had a trick way to cleanly route the cable, or just let it lay along the floor to end at a slot or hole in the rear removable panel. My thoughts were to just have a slot or hole in the removable panel to feed the cable though and up to the engine. Attach clamps along the way in a few places...

Thanks

Doug,
I wouldn't recommend putting it through the removable panel (maybe a slot would be OK) because you don't want to be disconnecting the cable every time you remove that panel. I let my LoKar cable lay on the carpet alongside the tunnel and drilled a hole through the firewall near that location. I don't think I have any pics to show but I'll check. LoKar cables are really nice quality. The only clamps I used were the ones at the outer cable ends. However, I have adjustable pedals so my cable attachment up front has to move fore & aft.

The location for your cable is the easy part - run it along the edge of the tunnel under the carpet, and thru the firewall just above the block for the seatbelt on the driver's side. As stated above, it would not be a good idea to put a hole in the removable panel.
The more difficult part of this task is the connection of the throttle cable to the pedal. Do your research and select one that works for you pedal setup.
I bought a cheap cable to mock up what and how I was going to make the connection at the pedal and at the carb. Now that that is done, I plan to get the final cable from Pegasus Auto Racing. With the throttle cable installed, I can finally drive my car in and out of the shop now.
