The craftsmanship and dedication of these guys is beyond description.
The only problem with these projects is that they can become almost obsessive and consume every facet of your life to the exclusion of everything else.
The level of skill and engineering required at this level is amazing.

I dunno, many more people waste untold free time watching junk TV year in, year out.
To true Dimi , I know a group that obsess over this one particular 1960's sports car.
Rear engined V8 ,cant remember what they call it mmmm a Ford I think.

Years ago when I was a young lad, 1972, I built a street rod, 1934 Chev 4 door, which took about 3 years to build and which I still have.
When it was finished I joined a street rod club but only lasted about 1 year with the club.
The reason was that they expected me to attend every club meeting and every club outing and event without fail or they considered I was not a true enthusiast if I missed some events.
They had something on every weekend as well as some midweek things.
It was all too much.
I enjoy my 40 a great deal but it also can sit in the garage and not be touched for weeks while I do other things and sports.
