Hello,

Time to start my build log I guess. I'll update with pics when available.

Does anyone have any info on the early RF race car project?

Welcome Troy,

Not sure about the early RF race car project but Ross Nicol has been developing and racing an RF over the last few years. Do a search on user name "ross nicol" will bring up many interesting threads. Ross seems to have disappeared without trace the last month or two though. Not sure what's up....

Another RF being prepared for racing is Iain Pretty's. This is a big dollar, ground up, no compromises, highly complex, purpose built race car. Yet to be seen on the track.....Build thread here :- http://www.gt40s.com/forum/gt40-build-logs/22164-rf-117-a.html

What is it about you guys with Heralds??? I've got a mate, Joh Hills, who races/rallies a Vitesse V8. You may know it, it's featured in some of the Dunlop ads. He's seen the light too, and is now looking to buy a 40 to do the same thing with.

The chassis I was referring to was Rob Logan's own rcae project, I believe either #12 or #13. This is the car I've purchased, and would like to find out some more details from you guys on the forum.

The New Roaring Forties guys have been excellent to deal with, and would highly recommend their services to anyone who'll listen. It is refreshing to find an industry where everyone you meet is so co-operative and helpful.

Also, for any of thye guys in Perth, it looks like I'll be going over to pick up the car personally, so if you need anything from the RF factory, or indeed Melbourne, let me know and we'll see if I can fit it in!

Yeah, no engine yet, couldn't possibly have been it!

Iain, you may have seen my car, the race prep chassis Rob Logan started years ago. Fully adjustable rear set up, etc.

I realised I started my build log in the wrong forum, so have transferred it to the proper "Build Log" forum. There is a pic of the chassis on there taken at the factory.
