Thar rear airfoil's angle of incidence is so high I wonder if it is in stall?
Probably a good thing if the wings were stalled. Without a good splitter on the front, those wings can suddenly become your worst enemy…

If a wing is in stall, its only contribution is to add drag.
I get that - but if not stalled, it could well produce more downforce that wasn’t counterbalanced by a well tuned splitter on the front.
It sucks to not be able to steer your car at speed as I’m certain you’re aware…

Today at Spa, 4 mufflers, measured at 101db.

Yes, if the wing is mounted behind the rear axle. It would take wind tunnel data to determine how it would work with a particular shape of the front of the body- does the shape generate downforce?

What valvetrain and fuel pump is installed, what other loud mechanical devices are in the engine bay. I know that some of the cars going through road registration here had been chasing noise issues with exhausts, only to find that it was nose coming from the engine itself.

So quieter rockers and lifters, timing belts in place of a timing chain, thicker rocker covers, more engine bay sealing and sound deadening material on the inside of the bodywork all helped get a pass.

(I know, makes you sick just thinking about it on a GT40 :( )

Talk to Adam at Southern Sheet Metal in Southampton to make you some. Ex Southern GT and knows how to make decent and effective silencers.
