UN 1 linkage

Thanks Julian,It turns out that Southern GT is no more but think AK sports cars seem to have taken them over, so I contacted them and they can offer a linkage and gear lever and gate and have spoken to Tornado too.
Both look possible as a starting point, but of course my set up is as Renault Alpine A310 and GTA,so would need some modifications.I know the GTD shift gate looked exactly what I wanted as the positions for the gears is exactly as mine is at present with the awful cable change.
I am trying to buy a complete GTA set up if this comes off it could be adapted and also won't be the eye watering cost of the Other two especially the AK version.
Thanks again for your reply

If you use the Alpine 310 Gearbox , you will need turn around differential or turn upside down the gearbox, or you would need selector grill for 5 reverse gears....

The crown wheel has already been turned round so it is running in exactly the same way as the A310/GTA with 5 forward gears and 1 reverse but the gear selection pattern is different with reverse up left and 1st is back left so so forth.

That is the same pattern as a ZF. The pattern can be altered left to right or back to front by the design of the linkage.

Easy fix from Southern Sheetmetal in Southampton. Adam Sollis will surely sort it for you.
Thanks Morten,we will just see I need to know what is needed to alter the linkage they supply as the simpler the linkage the better so less needs changing as mine is directly to the end of the transaxle instead of having to travel round the engine as in mid engined GT40s.

Does that mean, crown is pushed out of pinion now, different load on bearings and less contact surface? So less horsepower.
As with the old Citroën DS - SM transaxles.
