Where do these people come from??

It seems that car companies pop out of the wood work now.

I know this isn't news to very many people but i have to ask. Where the hell do these things originate, let alone where do the people get the money.
If it's this easy to start a company being an engineer, shoot, count me in.

I like it. Its what the Enzo should have looked like.
It seems to me though that the car exists as no more than an idea. The specifications are vague to say the least.

It was featured on the front of CAR magazine in the Uk last month. It was designed by a couple of ex McLaren F1 engineers. If I remember right its powred by a 2.5 litre V8 with a turbo but the car is so light the power to weight ratio is better than a Bugatti Veyron! The driver and passenger sit in tandem.

I love it - how long before someone comes out with a low-tech "replica" of it - spaceframe / f-glass / basic Rover V8, etc ? !!

The only major worry is to be found in one of the press releases :

"In addition, there is a global market for an exclusive ultra-high performance track car that
can also be used on the road; so in effect we’ve found an exciting way of funding our
demonstrator," said Halstead. "Customers for the car will either be private individuals with
a passion for high performance sports cars or corporate clients requiring an affordable yet
prestigious track car for the fast growing market of hospitality race experience events.
Meanwhile, we look forward to working closely with automotive clients to help tackle their
design engineering issues."

The phrase "an exciting way of funding" should scare the cr*p out of anyone these days !!

Kind Regards,

/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/zzzzz.gif There seems to be one of these "F1 Car for the Road" in every car mag these days,
Good Luck

paint it black and it could be the next batmobile.

I think they area about $250K which is the same price as a Ferrari 430 in the states!!!
So i don't see any need for a replica that is somehwat affordable to a man in his midlife crisis.
