Who has had AP complete the body work for them?

Hi all. I'm wondering who all has had Active Power complete the the body work prior to shipping. I know I read a post a while back with some great pictures but I can't remember whewre I saw that. Anyone else remember that post. I think it was one of the 4 inch stretched AP cars.

Thread 'Hedrick Speedsports; GT40 Active Power Cars build'

Ok folks. Here is the “start” of my GT40 build log. I am starting with an Active Power Cars, Chris Ardern chassis and it is the +4” stretch. I did have a lot of the body work done with Chris, prior to it being shipped to me in Florida, hence why it looks more complete than others from Chris. I am in Ormond Beach, FL which is just North of Daytona Beach. My background is motorsports and I’m an X-boat racer (Offshore Powerboats) and a SCCA road racer, mostly Spec Miata’s, Mustang T2’s and Mazda RX7 Endurance cars, as well as WKA Shifter Karts. We are building this car more as a “resto-mod”...

Are you working on one? I've been working out some details on mine. Chris is always super easy to get a hold of...if you bought your car from him.

Thank you. This is the thread I was looking for. I do not have a build yet but planning for one in the near future. I have talked to Chris in the past and he was very easy to talk to and responded quickly. Thank you again.

Gosh I got confused with my previous post; they have a new owner; I haven’t seen them here as far as I can tell, but they were taking orders for new kits, on my post above is their email. They communicated with me about the kit costs last year.

The company is going to go under if they don’t start communicating. Chris was easy to get ahold of, these guys not so much.

There have been other here who have been working with them. I have gotten email responses when I have reached out. They are completing build because when I reached out they were full for a number of months.

In a round about way, I ended up speaking with Todd today...the new owner of AP. I had contacted Chris about getting a spare windshield, and he forwarded me Todd's contact info. It sounds like they are moving in the right direction and will be providing some high quality cars in the future. They modified the chassis to be more of a tub, and are molding the bodies differently, which should provide a higher quality product.

Joe, yes Chris' offsite body shop did the finishing work on my car. Not 100% ready for paint, but good.
