OK, maybe this is the wrong place to post this (and if that's the case, or it's inappropriate, then please feel free to move or delete it) but at a time when there's so much work related trouble, wouldn't it be nice if we had a forum section where members could offer other members work. I don't necessarily mean a job as such, just some work that may help out. For example, I'm looking for a carpet fitter for a job on my house in Cambridge, UK for example, it there's a member who fancies helping, hopefully he'll give me a good price and we're sorted.....you get the idea. somebody posts what they want done and their area, another member replies (via pm or email) and they come to an agreement. Somebody else posts what they can do and where they'd be prepared to go to, and so on.
I, for example, am a TV cameraman by trade. I don't suppose there are many TV producers on the forum, but I'm happy to film a wedding video for a members Daughter or family member MUCH cheaper than the usual "wedding video" companies (and as I've been filming them for 25 years, possibly better, though I say so myself!)
I've made some good friends and had a LOT of good advice from this forum over the many years I've been a member, and if we can help each other out surely that's got to be a good thing?
