Nothing too exciting and I have been working on other projects lately trying to get stuff done before the SLC arrives in Dec. I have to finish up these before I even start the SLC so it might be sitting for a bit under a car cover for a few months. Just still figuring out little things on the engine now. I am still deciding on items, such as which valves and sizes. I have the LS6 heads so I plan on using them, but I am debating on getting an LS2 block instead so we will see. The LS1 block I have has a scatch on a cylidner wall so I can bore and hone that if needed, but it has me worried a bit so I might just buy a new LS2 or even LS3 block instead. If I do that I might change the stroke to 3.0 instead of 3.187 to keep the size basically the same and keep the hp the same, but might rev faster and better. The crank is ordered and paid for a long time ago and I am in line for when they have time to do it, which they still say is Jan so I have a minute to decide on the stroke. The cam is ordered and should be here any day I think. Anyone with a good place to get a new LS2 or LS3 block?
I am thinking I am going to use TEA for the head CNC work and assembly. I plan to rev to 8,200, give or take, so it gives me some room there to not get Ti valves to keep the cost down. So we will see. I am thinking 2.08 intake and 1.6 or 1.625 exhaust to let it flow well.
