UK´s " Type approval number"

My UK regis. cert. has a K line saying Type approval number ******, anybody knows the code for a gt40 replica? mine is an MDA mk1, licensed in the UK, but I want to get Spanish number plates on it to drive it, and it is necessary to have one!!
Thank you all.

Hi

I have checked my own MDA V5 document and no type approval is entered.

I recall from the documentation for the Single Vehicle Approval that the SVA process replaces the 'type approval' that non amateur builders and manufacturers have to obtain. i.e. the SVA (IVA now) replaces the Type Approval.
When the vehicle is UK Registered the SVA document is sent with the application and retained by the DVLA.

I will look through my papers from that time to see if I can find the relevant document reference

 Hi Steve, thanks for the reply. So far I have checked with other gt owners from europe and nobody uses the T.A.Number, as it is only used for large number of cars made, not for gt´s, as they use IVA testing...But in Spain they may want me to pass a new individual test with proof of quality of every important part of the car...And I think that there must be a way to license it without this headache, Are we in the EC or not?

I may be getting out of my pay grade here ; I understand that the EU regulation allows for vehicles that have been properly registered in one EU country are accepted in any other. The point of the IVA test is to ensure the car has been built in a safe roadworthy way, the manual dictates just about every aspect.
It could be that a test similar to the one some imports have to pass in the UK that covers things like headlamp dipping, speedo calibration in KPH etc will be required.
Interpretation of EU rules is a mine field often interpreted locally, I would find others that have been through the process in Spain for other imports of replicas etc.
