Pfadt Corvette mounts...the engine crossmember is available as a solid or with provisions for the Pfadt units (not included)

Fran -

Are the Pfadt mounts interchangeable with the stock solid mounts or do they require modification to the "old style" aluminum upright chassis mounts?

Thanks,
Dave L

Thanks Fran - I'm watching the 3rd installment of Gearz again - really a great showcase for RCR and the SLC!

I could see using the Pfadt side mounts if the back of the engine and transmission wasn't hard mounted to the frame. It just seems silly to do the side engine mounts and then have the back of the engine hard mounted. Wouldn't that put extra stress on the back engine mounts?

It is. And all of these shows are buildup for the performance episode.

Fran's not letting the cat out of the bag, but when Stacey:
1) Puts a Lambo and Ferrari out there day one saying the SLC is the only American built supercar,
2) States that a supercar must go 180 all day long, AND
3) Has all of the SLC episodes already recorded.

Let's just say that audience expectations are high for this viewer.

I agree. It doesn't make much sense to me either unless it's being done to showcase the Pfadt product. I'll be sticking with the solid mounts.

The LS series engines are incredibly smooth ...I had a guy in the shop a couple of days ago rest his hand on the valve cover of a runing LS376 in an SL-C and he was stunned how smooth it was....with solid mounts too...

Hey there everyone,

Erik here at GBox, I just wanted to personally thank Fran and everyone building the SL-C for the opportunity to work with you all. If you caught the last episode of Gearz you will have seen our segment on the transaxle and limited slip differential.

We truly enjoy working with all of you and look forward to our continued awesome relationship with you all. Please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions that I can be of help with. I have not been around for a bit, but am happy to be back with this great team once again.

Happy building,

Erik Johnson

I have nothing but good things to say about Erik and GBox. They did a great job on my project!

Fully agreed. I worked with Stan at GBox to get my G96 set up. Lots of help starting with guidance on the price to pay on eBay, risks, etc.

I am liking the show. I did like it before though. Stacy really makes the car look easy to put together. I don't know if that's the way Fran meant it to be or not. As a so so hands on guy I am happy about that.

I'm sure the rest of the drivetrain is not hard mounted. This my PFadt mounts, adapter plate and ricardo mounts
