This past week...

...was one of the best weeks of my life...and a week I've been looking forward to for about 3 years.

'Took our youngest daughter, son-in-law, and the grand bratlets down to Disneyland. 'Unbelievable trip. 'Just unbelievable. Everything came togeher like clock work...

It was the grandkid's 1st time at Disneyland...'1st time aboard an airliner...'1st time in a limo...and '1st time in a hotel/motel. They were a bit overwhelmed!

And the looks on their faces when they met Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Goofy, Pluto, Tinker Bell, Chip & Dale, Donald Duck, Eeyore, and all the rest in person was just priceless...not to mention coming face-to-face with Lightning McQueen and Tow Mater on the main street of Radiator Springs! I was sure my little grandson was going to wet his pants (but he didn't! lol!)!

Thank you, God...;)

(Yeah, I know the above isn't 'car forum' material. Ask me if I CARE...)

Thank you, sir.

IMHO all 'little ones' ought to be exposed 'early on' to the rewards hard work and a bit of 'risk taking' can provide. They need to know what's awaiting them 'out there' if they apply themselves. It's never 'too early' to let them experience it 1st hand 'far as I'm concerned...

Absolutely, they are the future!

I took my kids 11 and 13 year olds(then) home to the Isle of Man a couple of years ago and I was stunned how much they "got it"...they appreciated the history and their heritage much more than I could ever have expected....
My son actually said it was his favorite vacation ever....made my heart swell....

The kids asked if we could go to Rome this year which considering they are now 13/15 yo was again quite a surprise as its not theme park stuff....I guess the boss and I may be doing something right.

How 'bout San Marino or Rimini instead of a tourist trap?
Good on 'ya Fran!

Not my choice mate...the kids get to choose one year and the wife and I the next...so it was their turn..I dont expect we will get many more vacations with them as they become older and want to join the workforce during their summer breaks from school and college
