Is someone seriously thinking about replicating this system and all the changes, including of a structural nature, that are involved ?

I might do something similar with the chassis, but probably not to the extent of connecting the tanks from a safety and registration perspective. Still a bit to sort out.

I have no idea where this came from originally. Anyone know what publication and or what chassis that may be?

Ryan,
I can tell where it came from:

Unfortunately I don't know the chassis #.
Usually I keep special magazine's - I will check over the weekend if I have it on hand.

Markus

Thanks Markus, i managed to find a bunch of other photos (they were sent to me) from the magazine, looks like it is an alloy chassis of some description and not one of the originals. I don't recognize the chassis.

I have messed up here guys. I was seeking ask if the images here with the stripped out chassis showing the cross-over fuel pontoon outlets was a abbey panels mono?
Sim.

Simon, those pictures are off your chassis, I just asked Sean and he confirmed, but they were taken probably later, then when Sean had it at his place.
He said it is an evolution 2 of the fuel crossover system.

Best regards,

Boris

I linked the photo from this web site:-

which is full of tantalising details of XGT-2.

The photos posted by Dick in post #28 above appear to be of a Mirage chassis. Below are pictures from John Allen and Gordon Jones book "The Ford That Beat Ferrari".
