Great Holman Moody Video

This video was posted a few days ago. Documents the current work being undertaken by Paul Whitlock and the Holman Moody team on their continuation GT40 MKII builds. Paul has undertaken most of the work on my SPF MKI over the years. It's nice to live in Charlotte where there is so much support for the GT40 community. The Holman Moody shop is literally a step back in time.

Don't forget the follow up film which features a lot of Lee's memories.

Ref., the above film. It's not accurate to say a Tennant replacement chassis is an 'original' ( Abbey Panels ) chassis from the 1960's. It isn't.

I was listening to a NASCAR race back when Fred Lorenzen was driving that car. He was having problems and finally brought it into the pit for good, jumped out and was walking away mad as hell when a radio announcer (Chris Economaki?) ran up and thrust a microphone in his face. "What happened out there?" the announcer demanded. Fred, seething, spat out " It was overheating so we decided to run it 'till it puked!" Those NASCAR drivers have such a colorful way with words!
