Working with rear uprights, new bearings and driveshafts. Outer stub axle goes thru outer bearing to the inner bearing, just. Driveshaft "yoke" and outer stub axle meets inside of inner bearing. But there is plenty of gap. I have milled shim rings to fill the gap and to get preload for bearings...

Any idea of 40`s VIN? Car in front is P5 Taunus (64-67), and i think truck is Scania Taken in Keminmaa from telephone pole at truck drives home after night halt, Finland, spring of -66 or -67 i guess. GT went to Rovaniemi, for local Ford dealer`s car show. White stuff is snow :)

Quaife claims in their newest (and last years) catalogue they make "direct replacement" for ZF DS 25, type 62G transaxle. 5 speed, helical/syncro. They say for asking price call to GT TRANSMISSIONS. I`ll do that, but do anyone here have this box in own use, or know "anything" usefull about this...
