Has anyone tried one of those electric boost power brake setups?

Space being at a premium in the nose of the SLC thee have been some good solutions to adding a power brake setup, but I haven’t seen anyone use a kit like the below link yet. Any thoughts on these or are the cylinder sizes a problem for the SLC...

    dyno power loss

I know in my cobra from engine to rear tires there is about 15% power loss on dyno. Is it less in s gt40 because the trans is connected directly to tires? What is the average power loss from engine to tires? I have a CAV and going with one of the big boy $15k transaxles.

    Miami Active Power Build

I am not a fabricator or an engineer but can figure things out and follow instructions. I had fun building a Cobra many years ago and decided to now build a GT40. I did lots of research looking for an affordable rolling chassis build. I looked at the quality of several manufacturers and found...

    Electric Ferrari

Someone rescued a fire damaged Ferrari 308 GTS from a junkyard and converted it to battery powered. The car was later sold at a Barrett-Jackson auction for $84,700. What has me horrified is not the conversion of a Ferrari to battery power but guy who bought it at the auction is quoted in the...

    I Squared 1+1 Power System

I have a new/old stock ISquared 1+1 Power System that I have decided not to install in my build. It comes with a complete wiring package. Perhaps someone out there is running this system and needs a back up or to replace a defective unit? They are no longer manufactured. This system sold new...

max safe revs from a 302

Just wondering... I bought the car a while back, and cannot get detailed info on the engine internals. Moderate power (250), 4-barrel Holley, conventional valve gear. Of course max revs will go well past peak power, but on our lovely deserted Scottish roads :-), I'm just wondering how high I...

    Hello from Florida

Thanks for letting me join. I don't have a GT40 yet :-) but I am in the hunt for one. I used to be a true blue Ford guy. Back n the 70s I had Mustangs GTA, Machs, and even a 68 500KR in my single Navy days (that would spin up the restorers what I did to it back then for street racing :-) )...

    Is gt40's.com important to you?

Hey guys, the site has reached a kind of impasse in that it needs some cash and time input because stuff is broken and won't get fixed. Ron has told me it needs circa $2,000 to fix it and he has neither the cash or the time to do it. (He has a high power job that takes much of his time at the...

    LS7 engine variations

My car has a crate LS7 and a GM controller kit. It's never really run right, with a weird idle hanging problem -- it would hang at about 2000-2500 RPM on decel, then slowly lower itself to a normal idle of 800 in a minute or so. That made it hard to heel-and-toe and didn't make me look like the...

Big Bend Open Road Race 2017

This year's race went only slightly better for us. After trashing the LS7 last year, we stuffed in a more budget friendly LS1. Motor was fresh from a reputable shop with a stock lower end. Tuned on a rolling Dyno after it was in the car. Motor lasted through about 15 Dyno pulls, a 20 mile...
