915 Transaxle

As I mentioned, it is a different application but I am running an LS1 with a 915 and I was just checking to see in any member had information on the pulse setting for a 915 transaxle. If 915s are not used in these builds then my apologies.

Im using a VDO programmable speedo and from what I understand, they have 2 methods of calibration for speed. If you are wanting to calibrate it for the speedo, then it is simply a method of running the car either on a rolling road or drive in real time and press the button at 100km/hr .... and its set!

The VDO I have has three methods, A measured mile (did not work), Set a pulse rate, or adjust when on a dyno. The measured mile gives me a rate at about 2 x what the actual speed. The company I bought it said to set it at 2525, that gives me about 200 mph when traveling at about 40 mph. I can try different settings and probably get close but If I had the actual output pulse rate, that would make it easier.
Thanks for your help.

There is a way to put a volt/ohm meter on the circuit, then turn the wheel one revolution and count the pulses. If interested I would have to dig it up from my notes.

How many wires are coming out of your sensor? Also how many of those wires are being used? (going to something)

In this calculation you may also have to measure the tire circumference...
