You have done an absolutely amazing job here! Have you ever tackled some cabinet making projects? I’m certain they would be amazing also..

Thanks Randy. These cabinets are the first I've done and it does show (at least in person). The pics don't look too bad and yes, they are reasonably square, but they could definitely be better. I was finding my way while doing the project and everything was custom built.

That said, the execution is fantastic. We have storage out our ears, and a bunch of it isn't even being used, and much isn't being used to their fullest. The layout is extremely practical and we are having a great time getting out and using it. Most importantly, B loves getting out in it, and is just as happy hanging out in it as outside of it. It is a really comforting space.

I will be back on the road in September for two weeks in UT again. Looking forward to that!!

Also, I think I called the interior "done", and that is not accurate. It is hospitable, but still has plenty to do. I still need to figure out what the finish treatment will be for the ceiling, and I need to actually finish the bed area (it's still raw lumber). That may all wait for next winter though as we plan to use it as much as we can this summer.

On the list of things to do is swap the final drives. It has 3.07's in it and they were the hot ticket before the reduction gear delete kits became available- instead of 3.90's. In the OE configuration, there is a 2:1 reduction bevel gearset in each hub, and someone came up with a delete kit for them. This puts the driveline components outside of their ideal/max recommended operating speeds when on the freeway. Putting the 3.90's back in (and running the bevel delete kit) will get me back toward an ideal span of engine and vehicle speeds, and I just had a set show up. Will be toward end of summer before I can get those swapped though. Will be a big endeavor- the center pumpkin is ~400#. Looking forward to having that job in the rearview mirror.
