Don't know what it is but I can figure out the origin though. It looks like something the big guy's at FORD should have done and gone back to Le Mans to "Kick some But", Y2K style.

Looks far more impressive than the new / revised GT40 offering from the factory.

Cheers,
RV

Not sure what it is....but I want one. There appears to be a gt-40 in there somewhere amongst all those fairings and vents....Kinda reminds me of the McLaren LTS "long tail"

Very slick.

I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT IT IS. JUST LIKE THE GIRL I MET LAST NIGHT THOUGH, - - I SURE DO WANT IT.

Y'ALL HAVE A REALLY GREAT DAY,

BLACKJACK

Interested in hearing more if the info is available.....It looks like it could be buildable off a GT-40 chassis easily. I like its lines, very aggressive...it could be made milder I am sure for a more streetable version.

Regards,

Thomas

Here is a (sort of) translation of the French web site via an internet automatic translator. It appears to have been racing in France from 1995 to 2001 but has now been retired??!

VBM (Vehicles bornhauser-metz) is born in 1995 of the passion of two industrial orléanais, Patrick Bornhauser and John françois Metz, of which the desire is to construct a GT to the original lines for an equal budget to the one of a Porsche GT2. Conceived by Michel Elkoubi the 4000 GTC, since such is his name, inspires itself strongly in its lines of the mythical Ford GT40. To the origin the French GT has access to a shell done of tubes of covered steels of panels nest of bees in aluminum and carbon. As for the motor it is a matter of the V6 PRV doubles turbo to separated wastegate that equips equally the Venturi and Alpine other era. Given for close to 410 horses this one is developed by EIA and is mated with a can 5 speeds Hewland. His track baptism to place in 1995 to the occasion of the essays préqualificatifs of the 24 hours of the Mans. Lacking cruelly of perfect the all young GT fails in this difficult exercise. Nevertheless one reviews it at the time of the 1000 Paris km of the same year in the framework of the B. P. R. where she does not know unfortunately more success than in the Sarthe. And at last, to the hands of Patrick Bornhauser and Dominique Lacaud, she finishes to the 4th place of the race "The Mans GT" that itself short in September. 1996 view a new failure to the essays préqualificatifs of the 24 hours of the Mans for causes motor bris (henceforth prepared by Legeay Sports Mechanical). Some weeks later John françois Metz deceases, leaving Michel Elkoubi and Patrick Bornhauser only to the fates of VBM. The 4000 GTC reappears in race in 1997 in the framework of the all new series FFSA GT. The V6 PRV, henceforth prepared by the engineer house gives weaknesses to Dijon, at the time of the second appointment of the season, where she does its beginnings to the hands of Patrick Bornhauser. Finishing 24th and last at the time of the first race she hangs the 13rd position in the second race the next day. His second exit to the Coming Val sees Dominique Lacaud again to assist the "employer". A weak plateau and a humid track allows the VBM of itself some to go out with a 6th place the Saturday and a 7th one on Sundays. While the season touches on his end this is to Magny Classes that takes time the last confrontation for the participants of the series FFSA GT. Patrick Bornhauser and Rock Yver that replaces then Domonique Lacaud unhook a superb one and 5th promising place to the general in the first race. Unfortunately the next day an abandonment does not allow the VBM to reiterate his performance of the day before. In 1998, the series FFSA GT becomes a France championship official. The VBM to the lightly modified body bartered his white dress for a black book. And after two 4th place to Nogaro and two 7th place to Spa Olivier Thévenin comes to reinforce the small French team. A more for the small orléans structure since the new binomial signs finally four 3rd place at the time of the three last encounters of the season and even a superb 2nd place at the time of the final one to Magny Classes. Henceforth the better Porsche are warned the VBM is able to be going to look for the victory. From that time, in 1999, all the hopes are allowed. But at the beginning of season the V6 Sodemo that equips now the French GT lacks fiabilité and prevents the VBM of well to figure. After l' fire that has fails to destroy it completely to Lédenon she is fixed price for the meeting of Pau. Patrick Bornhauser and its men decide then come back to the V6 PRV and the podiums return at the same time the mice. Besides two 4th place to Nogaro in July this are a 2nd place on the circuit of the Coming Val and two 3rd place at the time of the last appointment 99 to Magny Classes that come to save a season beginning difficult. 2000 will come you she to give at last its letters of nobilities to the 4000 GTC? Has Lédenon, in the first race of the year, the VBM, some passes to take the second position to the Viper of the team ART in the last turn, sees deprived itself podium by the for lack of a Jarier to the conduit somewhat cavalière... But she recovers herself in the second race of during the weekend where she unhook the 3rd place to the general and the 1st one in his category. The continuation of the évènements is not smiling so since to Dijon the car wipes two abandonments. Then after to have done the impasse on the long movement in Hungary she is eliminated on bothers mechanical at the time of the 500 magny-cours km in July. After the Coming Val (to forget) the VBM knows at last the consecration on the track of Nogaro while winning a magnificent victory after five years of ténacité and of eager work. The exercise 2001 is done various fortunes and despite some honorable mentions, the VBM does not reach to place itself in challenger for the title in France championship FFSA GT. Nevertheless the VBM remains an essential face of the French GT. Then after a sixth one and ultimate season in competition Patrick Bornhauser decides to put an end to the career of the 4000 GTC. > 2001 FFSA GT 1995 The Mans - VBM 4000 GTC / John françois Metz chassis: multitubulaire in steel reinforced of aluminum panels and of elements in carbon body: fiber of polyester reinforced of carbon motor: V6 PRV 24 soupapes 2 turbos Garrett 2995 cc 410 ch transmission: can Hewland DGB dimensions: weights: 1050 kg tires: Michelin jantes: / brakes: / speed max: / 2000 FFSA GT - VBM 4000 GTC / VBM chassis: multitubulaire in steel reinforced of aluminum panels and of elements in carbon body: fiber of polyester reinforced of carbon motor: V6 PRV 24 soupapes 2 turbos Garrett 2995 cc + 450 ch transmission: can Hewland to 5 reports dimensions: weights: 1200 kg (according to regulation FFSA GT) E: 2m51 L: 4m42 l: 2m00 h: 1m10 tires: Pirelli jantes: / brakes: / speed max: /
