Barrett Jackson 2004

Subscribed to speed to get the auction. Event of the winter. Some day I will get there. Anxious to see the gt 40 prices.

I don't think we're going to see $117k for a GT40 replica again, no matter who makes it.

But yours was up at a reasonable price I think, saw it here or on CC. Do people really not know that much about these cars at auction?

Excuse a poor old Aussie's ignorance, but I had not heard of The Barrett Jackson until reading of it here. Obviously an auction of exotic's. Do they have a website where I can view the lots for sale? /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif

Check out Lot 969.
I didn't know CAV (California Advanced Vehicles - sic!) were buliding replicas as long ago as 1966! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smirk.gif
It would be a bit more helpful if they said when it was really started.
Pity there are no pics, but it sounds a nice car.
I hope there is someone there to put people straight.
What do you think it will go for?

That's the question we've been asking ever since someone
paid a ridiculous amount at last year's BJ Auction.

We just saw a basic space frame CAV sell on E-bay for $46k,
which we thought was a little low. The BJ Auction hopefully
will confirm what we thought these should sell for.

You just never know! All it takes is two loons at an
auction to bid something beyond comprehension.
But it makes for great entertainment!
