Block heater

Has anyone fitted a block heater to their engine? Reason for the enquiry is that I will only run the car at weekends and am conscious of what we call "cold corrosion" The only heaters I know of are the recirculating type which means there is a lengthy proceedure to connect and disconnect.. Is there a heater probe that I can insert in the block cooling system and connect the power to and heat the engine block, without having to disconecting hoses and pump?
I am running with the Windsor engine in an RF kit.
Regards to all

I have seen some USA imports that have an element that fits in one of the freeze plug holes of the block, think they were 115 volt though. Also check your local IH/Case dealer, they have one that fits in the bottom radiator hose, and another universal model that fits on firewall and uses 5/8" hose tee'd into heater hose. May not be a stock item in Aust though. You guys dont get to many frost's.

look in Summit or Jegs web site. They have several types including a super easy one that attaches to the outside of the oil pan. chuck

Thanks Jac and Chuck for your advise
Its a pity the world does not have a standard AC power supply.
Thanks
