Brake light switch

Brake lights do not work unless i connect the wires from the brake light switch on the master cylinder together.

Brake light swith may be defective.

On a CAV GT after # 100 does anyone know the part number or manufacturer of the master and brake light pressure switch screwed into the master?

Is it a metric thread?

I have a similar brake light pressure switch on my 67 Mini Cooper but I want to be sure.

I can't say if the threads are NPT or BPT on the switch you have, but you can get replacement switches at your local NAPA Auto Parts store. I think the last time I picked one up there it was for a 1966 Ford Thunderbird.. They have a couple of different terminal ends on them..
