Absolutely wonder idea but I think the internal battery on my opener is out of date.

Jack - out of date or Flat ? There are chemicals you can use to recharge a flat battery. If it's just a case of out of date - it might still do the business ......

While fun to make, they are expensive to maintain. My opener returned for the summer after being sent off to be reprogrammed and came back attached to another non-OEM brand.

Poured a couple bottles of Chardonnay down the opener one night and brought life back into it! Then the next morning it was flat again, thought about an overhaul, but to costly to repair. I will just be happy with my old opener for the rest of my life.

Thank God she doesn't know how to get on this forum.
