On a Discovery Channel programme they managed a studio build up of a CAV S/S Mono in 12 minutes + 15 minutes track time setting upboomsmile . Is this a record? (They reckoned the build actually equated to 1,000 man hours)
The build-up sequence was a bit dumbed down to be honest but interesting nevertheless as was a tour of the CAV factory in Capetown.
I was quite amused & somewhat perplexed (from an overly protective European Health & Safety Nanny perspective some would say) seeing the sole protective clothing worn by body shop staff laying up a mould with fibreglass mat and epoxy etc: Headscarves & Housecoats!
Now someone's gonna tell me that that's the only sensible gear to wear!!!
Bring it on!!!! But I warn you, as a person who has only 28% of their lung capacity left due in part to lack of suitable protection when it mattered years ago, I might have a view or 2 on this subject. rockonsmile
Back to the CAV. It looked the business on the track and there was also an interview with John Horsman on the '40. An interesting programme all in all.
