Still to meet you on track in the Lotus 79 on iracing Pete! They just released Donington and the new tyre model. Awesome!

Did a couple of laps of Mt Panorama, it's a much improved car. I was only using the Iracing baseline setup. I'll have a bigger go tomorrow and try and sort a setup out.
Looks like I'll be back.

I run mid pack and usually about 2 seconds slower than the fastest guys on any typical lap/track. Consistency can return a top ten finish occasionally. In a 30 car field, there are always great battles from front to back.

All the drivers of the 79 are regulars, so the fun is in racing the same guys every week. I was practicing this morning with two guys from down-under.

I hope to see you soon.

What kind of connection do you have to have to run this effectively? I just tried to get on the website and the server timed out! :stunned:

Can anyone give me a précis of the concept, controls etc?

I've never 'gamed' with an on-line community so a complete novice here and I had to give up playing Forza on the x-Box because I got even more stressed out and breathless! So, it may not be for me...

Keith, although my company sold computers I am a complete Numpty when it comes to the technical side of things. I do know I have a cable connection. I just said to one of my chaps with a propeller on his head to set me up. I use a play seat racing seat, Fanatec steering and pedals and have three screens.
Perhaps Mark will be able to give you more technical stuff.
I often work up a sweat during a race so it is quite a good simulation.

Bloody hell! I haven't got past the mouse stage....

No, it isn't for me, I get breathless chewing. Shame it looks good.

Thanks for the info...

Hey Mark, did a few practice laps with Phillip can't remember second name, it started with G
I think. He was kind enough to share his setup with me. Said you had been mentioning that I was getting back into the Lotus. Anyway long story short my f###n computer locked up in the middle of a conversation with him.
He probably thinks I'm very rude, and yes I know you know I am, but if you know who Phillip is please pass on my apologies. He is an Aussie.

Phillip Gallowicki, well something like that! Gallowackiwikiiwowow! ;)

Yes he's a good guy and I did ask him to look for you. I'll Le him know what happened re your PC crash.

@Keith, no disrespect, it'll kill you. My heart pounds, I sweat like fat bloke stoking a furnace and my breathing gets very laboured during an intense race. With the Force feedback from my T500 steering wheel, my left arm gets really tired, as my right hand spends most of its time changing gear and not actually holding the wheel at all. I have to rest the left arm on long straights!
